Healthy_summer_snacks_for_kids-impIt’s true. I INSIST my kids have popsicles for breakfast in the summer.  Actually, they can have one of these real fruit protein popsicles anytime they want – after school snack, before bed treat or mid day cool down by the pool.  These fruit filled protein popsicles are the perfect healthy summer snack for kids.

The best part is they are super simple to make. 3 ingredients. 5 minutes. Endless combinations. Super happy kids all summer.

Protein is an important part of every meal as all of our bodily functions rely on a steady source of protein in order to function. Protein should always be a part of a healthy snack between meals as it is the protein that takes time for your body to digest and therefore keeps you feeling full and satisfied longer. Many parents have a difficult time getting enough protein into their active growing kids, these real fruit popsicles are a great way to add more protein disguised as a yummy treat.

These protein popsicles contain more than 5 grams of protein per popsicle with added fiber and vitamins from the fruit plus calcium from the almond or cows milk. They really are a healthy summer snack for kids and make the perfect breakfast on the go!
